Crashing the Emergency Preparedness Fair
We crashed the EPF this year in hopes of finding out some good ideas for our own home. We had more fun outside playing outside with all the fun toys.
Some "GI Joe's" lent Tate their armor in exchange for him not driving off in their Humvee. He obviously thought he was pretty hot stuff.
This very nice, very trusting police bomb squad leader guy (yes, that is his official title, thank you very much) let Tate and Lucy have a go at the remote controlled bomb carrier with the arm thing (again, that is the official name. Just trust me.) He is much wiser now, and will ask for i.d., a signed waiver, and fingerprint clearance before letting a six year old drive around his $175,000 toy. He's lucky to still have that left pinky toe.
This is him answering my, "Where's the dog?" while simultaneously trying to retreat.
Captain Chicken Liver would only get within a foot of this dog under severe threat of leaving. The dog was remote controlled by a hidden firefighter and "talked" in response to the kids. Freaked Miley out!

Looks like you guys had lots of fun there...we forgot about it so we missed it. I wish we had gone, oh well, you'll have to share some of your favorite tips with us.
What did you learn inside? Poor Miley he'll pick up what Tate and Lucy have about approaching strangers that have really cool toys soon enough.
That was a fun time. I wish we had that smoke house here.

I heard the highlight was the police, firemen, and bomb squad. I was sad we didn't go--we were out of town.
