The Dukes are here!

What a wild weekend we have had. Four adults, six kids, one bathroom, 17 degrees outside, and no dishwasher makes for quite an adventure. Our friends, the Dukes, came to visit us from Texas and we had so much fun. We took them into the city to see Times Square and Central Park on the coldest day imagineable. We took the subway all around the city while getting some of the most peculiar looks from everyone around us. Kind of a mix of awe, horror, and pity. We all went to the beach to look at (not play in) the ocean and collect seashells, and most exciting of all (for Big Miles), some of us sledded down the snowy hills in the back yard. We all survived only by the grace of paper plates and fruit snacks.
