Last of the family reunion

Sorry for the overload, but the following is just a large large batch of the rest of vacation photos. This is mostly for journaling purposes.

Every year this swan family shows up and this year they brought a little surprise.

The parents made terrible hissing noises, but the baby made the cutest little peeps.

Every year we suffer several splinters and scrapes, but Lucy takes the cake this year. 3 splinters, 4 really bad scrapes (lots of blood), and a jellyfish attack. She was super tough but we had to buy lots of band-aids.

We all traveled back to Greenwich for the fireworks show and church. It was fun to hang out with our neighbors and my family at the same time. Reid disappeared for awhile and reappeared wearing this. We have no idea.

IMG_6996

We had a rather large flock come to visit us each morning to eat all the leftover bread.

IMG_6971

Miles was terribly afraid the geese would "bite mine neck".

IMG_6978

Uncle Dale helped Lucy cheat in the "lets see who can climb higher" contest.

IMG_6961

"Bed time!"

IMG_6946

Miles was exhausted by the end of each day. It takes a lot of energy to get that dirty and stinky!

IMG_6945

Tate didn't know his picture was being taken, hence the normal smile.

IMG_6930

Bocche Ball was my own personal nightmare as my kids ran around in front of my brothers as they flung giant heavy balls into the neighbors yard. No one got hit this year, but it was close!

IMG_6904

This is what happens when he knows his picture is being taken.

IMG_6911

The boys all made an obstacle course and we timed them to see who was fastest. Amazingly, Jake, being the oldest, was not the slowest!

IMG_6865

Eric has vowed to work out this year in hopes of regaining his dignity next year.

IMG_6864

In what will forever be known as the great war of Sandy Beach 2008, Randy and Tate kicked it off with some help from Mom and a couple cans of silly string.

IMG_6883

The fearless sailors only moments before they tipped this bad boy over in the bay.

IMG_7075

I cannot tell you how many times he dropped this peach in the sand, rinsed it in sea water, and continued eating.

IMG_7074

Ultimate Frisbee at the high school in town. Notice Jake's spectacular display of athletic talent.

IMG_7058

Again, he's just trying to make the other guys feel better about themselves.

IMG_7056

After having her beloved cat, Toby, let out one too many times, my sweet sweet grandmother left this note for all her beloved grandchildren.

IMG_7055

This was a reward for jumping (being pushed) off the dock to Dad.

IMG_7052

Chicken Lucy will have to get a new nickname now that she's brave enough to jump off by herself.

IMG_7044

And finally, one of the highlights of the trip for Miles...
FRENCH FRIES!!

Fun pics. My favorite was the "normal" smile that you got out of Tate because he didn't think you were taking a picture. What cute kiddies you have.

I forgot how fun your family is. I can't tell you how awesome it would be to be relaxing by the beach right now. Yeah! I laughed so hard after Tate smiling knowing his picture was being taken and not knowing. SO Funny! He is super cute.
