Brothers: Part II
During the last snowstorm, the kids were obnoxious.
Not regular obnoxious.
The kind of obnoxious that can only exist when they know their mother has no choice but to stay in the house with them for a whole day and can't escape.
You know what I'm talking about.
Singing so loud the windows shake
Throwing things
Wrestling on the stairs
Whining
Jumping in roller skates on the hard wood floor
Filling the sink with bubbles just to see how long it takes them to spill on the floor
Arguing over whether they're obnoxious or not
What to do?
Send them outside to do their singing and fighting.

"Louder Lucy! Get it all out while you can!"

"Ok, the neighbors are worried. Maybe that's a little too much singing. Why don't you go play with the boys?"

You want to know why she doesn't want to play with the boys?
Something happens when I tell them to "Go play outside in the snow."
The boys try their hardest to think of the most torturous game possible.
Like Snow Ball.
"Here Miles. You stand there with that bat and I'm gonna launch a snowball at your head."

"Swing if you want, but you're only four, so it's probably going to explode in your face."

"Ooh, that looks uncomfortable. Let's try that again."

"Wait! What's wrong? You don't like this game?"

Meanwhile, Miles is forming a plan of his own.

"Hey Miles. Watcha doin' with that giant snowball?"

And once again, being only four years old, his athletic skills leave him wanting, and he misses.

What to do now?

Why, jump on him, of course!

And be sure to rub lots of snow in his face.

Don't worry. He'll love it.

And where's Lucy during all this brotherly love?

Hiding in a trash can like any smart sister would.
