Wednesday Cocktails

This is Betsy. I don't think Betsy has had a grouchy day in her life. Betsy has been nice to me even when I was a rotten kid running right through her flowers. She has the best smile.
This lovely lady used be a police officer. Picture it. Yep, she used to carry a gun.

Ricki teaches ice skating in Rockefeller Plaza every winter.

She painted her house turquoise and white with big giant fish all over it. Then she added white swirlies over the whole thing. She emails me during the "off season" to see when we're coming.
Mr. Mazafero has been coming to the beach since before the pioneers headed west.

Well, maybe not that long, but a really long time.
How do I know all these people? Well, every summertime Wednesday afternoon around 5, everyone on this dead-end beach road gathers at one house to have "coctails".

They take turns hosting, they sit around and tell stories,

they eat good food

they make sure their teeth are clean,

sometimes the really good-looking ones pretend they are Tom Selleck without the mustache,

and some of them wear their fanciest flip flops, because a party is a party!

Oh, and every once in a while you can spot a kid darting in and out of the group,

snitching food.
